Routing in Cognitive Radio Networks - A Survey
نویسندگان
چکیده
Cognitive Radio Networks (CRNs) have been emerged as a revolutionary solution to migrate the spectrum scarcity problem in wireless networks. Due to increasing demand for additional spectrum resources, CRNs have been receiving significant research to solve issues related with spectrum underutilization. This technology brings efficient spectrum usage and effective interference avoidance, and also brings new challenges to routing in multi-hop Cognitive Radio Networks. In CRN, unlicensed users or secondary users are able to use underutilized licensed channels, but they have to leave the channel if any interference is caused to the primary or licensed users. So CR technology allows sharing of licensed spectrum band in opportunistic and non-interfering manner. Different routing protocols have been proposed recently based on different design goals under different assumptions. Keywords-About five key words in alphabetical order, separated by comma

A Survey on Multicast Routing Approaches in Wireless Mesh Networks
Wireless mesh networks (WMNs) which mediates the broadband Internet access, have been recently received many attentions by the researchers. In order to increase capacity in these networks, nodes are equipped with multiple radios tuned on multiple channels emerging multi radio multi-channel WMNs (MRMC WMNs). Therefore, a vital challenge that poses in MRMC WMNs is how to properly assign channels ...
متن کاملA Review of routing protocols for mobile cognitive radio ad hoc networks
Ad hoc network is a collection of wireless mobile nodes that dynamically form a temporary network without the use of any existing network infrastructure or centralized administration. A cognitive radio is a radio that can change its transmitter parameters based on interaction with the environment in which it operates. The basic idea of cognitive radio networks is that the unlicensed devices (co...

متن کاملBroadcast Routing in Wireless Ad-Hoc Networks: A Particle Swarm optimization Approach
While routing in multi-hop packet radio networks (static Ad-hoc wireless networks), it is crucial to minimize power consumption since nodes are powered by batteries of limited capacity and it is expensive to recharge the device. This paper studies the problem of broadcast routing in radio networks. Given a network with an identified source node, any broadcast routing is considered as a directed...
متن کاملInterference-Aware and Cluster Based Multicast Routing in Multi-Radio Multi-Channel Wireless Mesh Networks
Multicast routing is one of the most important services in Multi Radio Multi Channel (MRMC) Wireless Mesh Networks (WMN). Multicast routing performance in WMNs could be improved by choosing the best routes and the routes that have minimum interference to reach multicast receivers. In this paper we want to address the multicast routing problem for a given channel assignment in WMNs. The channels...
متن کاملRouting Techniques in Cognitive Radio Networks: a Survey
Cognitive Radio Networks (CRNs) are being studied intensively. The major motivation for this is the heavily underutilized frequency spectrum. CRN has the capability to utilize the unutilized frequency spectrum. Routing in CRN is a challenging task due the diversity in the available channels and data rates. In this paper, we present a survey of the state-of-the-art routing techniques in CRNs. We...
